The first project of my tiktok series 'Closet Copycat' ! And what a way to kickstart the series :)) I'm obsessed with how it turned out and so proud of how I was able to make my vision come to life - even though the fabric was tricky to keep under control, but hey a bit of a challenge is the best way to grow !

Construction Process
Seam ripper gets a workout - rip up seams (took quite a while - and everytime I tried taking some shortcut I would accidentally rip the fabric ……)
Sew a new invisible zipper into the side seam
Hem top with a double rolled hem
Re-attach bottom piece of fabric to make the skirt a little longer using french seams
Attach ruffle detail using the black trimmed ruffle from original dress
Cut slip dress to fit under skirt and add elastic and hem
Voilaaaa

Invisible zippers are tricky on chiffon fabric let me tell you that much.
French Seams Are The Best To Prevent Fraying!!!!
Outcome and Evaluation
I actually am so proud of this one and will be wearing it out so much :) Next time I need to take some more time to neaten the ruffles but otherwise this is a masterpiece if I do say so myself.
