A project that is part of my tiktok series called sewing clothes inspired by random objects and this specific piece was inspired by a ceiling light (random I know) but I actually love how it made me think outside of the box and use these grommets !

This piece is half self drafted/modified but inspired by the waistband from copenhagen skirt from puff and pencil. I used and altered the waistband from this pattern to be low waisted and replaced the ties with an invisible zipper.
Construction Process
I will be uploading a video on how to add grommets or otherwise called eyelets on my tiktok ut basically I :
1. Sew skirt waistband
2. Sew skirt bottom
3. Sew skirt waistband to bottom of skirt by adding invisible zipper
4. Hem skirt
5. Add grommets!

Outcome and Evaluation
I love the shape of this skirt and how it sits on me, I have made a similar skirt before and always fall back to this skirt waistband style because I just think it is so flattering - might need to make a pattern for this!
